George
Washington
is my personal favorite turnaround expert, triumphing in a war that the
world did not think he could win. He did it mostly through inspired
leadership as reflected in his call to action to the troops before
crossing the Delaware on Christmas Day, 1776. “Let it be told
to
the future world ... that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope
and virtue could survive ... that the city and country, alarmed at one
common danger, came forth and survived.”
